Finally New Zealand batting clicked and centuries from Taylor which was due for long time and Ryder the man in form for kiwis through out this tour put them in commanding position at stumps day 1. With 6 wickets in hand and Ryder at crease, they should look forward to add another 200 runs before they declare or get out.

India need early wickets to restrict Kiwis to a moderate score(<475) if they want to win this game. Otherwise India best chances will be draw while New Zealand may have chance of winning too.
