Everyone thought Deccan chargers (Squad) got the best batting team last year before start of team but they ended up in last at the end of tournament and was the first team to be knocked out of the IPL 2008. Not many changes this year except Gilly will lead the team and need to see if that will have any impact on teams performance.

Kolkata knight (Squad)  riders started of with a bang last year but could not make it to semis and they too almost got the same team but McCullum will lead the side in IPL 2009 for Knight Riders. Will be interesting too see how Ganguly will play, most of the times he will play well when he has point to prove and can he do it again?
