John DeMarco, NYPD Community Affairs Bureau.   Police cars and vans were everywhere as Police Commissioner Ray Kelly appeared – but it was all good, he was here to spin the toss to begin the 2nd NYPD Cricket Championship Finals.  Started in 2008 as a NYPD Community Affairs initiative to reach out to young men aged 15 to 19, the league is a resounding success for the NYPD and New York City – not to forget American cricket
